Eleonora Vagnoni, PhD
I am currently a Lecturer at Bournemouth University. Before joining BU I worked as a lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
I did postdoctoral research at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIIT), and at University College London (UCL).
I did my PhD at Birkbeck, University of London, under the supervision of Prof Matthew R. Longo.
My main research interests include the effect of emotion on our perceptual systems, how shared multisensory experiences change the distinction between self and other and how the representation of the space around our body changes in dangerous and social situations.
My work combines psychophysics and neuroimaging (e.g., EEG and TMS) techniques in order to define the behavioural and neural correlates of these phenomena.
